I stayed three nights at the resort back in March. Me and two of my friends from Ohio came out for a three day weekend. We came to gamble but had so much fun at the Blue Moon, we almost never left the hotel.
The place is cool, the pool area is hot and we all had a great time. Oh and the staff was a delight!
I loved the friendly staff and their attention to details. Plus that have a great pool-side BBQ that is a BLAST! I will be coming back next year!

I want to stay at your hotel but your too high priced for out of season. You should have discount rates for the 1st week in December to be competitive with the casino's
Being that I am in the hotel business, I often am accused of being a hotel snob. Whether I am a snob or not, The Blue Moon Resort in Las Vegas is one of the nicest hotels I have EVER had the opportunity to stay in. Everything from the art work in the hall ways to the pool area was stellar. I could go on and on about all the other things that I though were wonderful but then this review would become a bit X rated. 10 points for the owners and employees of the Blue Moon Resort!!!!
I arrived at the Blue Moon resort on New Years night. It was a little quiet since it was the day after the big party, which is exactly how I wanted it.
The place was great. I decided to go to Vegas that day and I wanted to include something gay in my trip. I found the Blue Moon online and immediately booked a room.
The staff was friendly and very accomadating. The owner is on staff, a very attractive friendly guy. He told me the story about the place. He bought it 6 years ago when it was just another hotel bungalow and converted it into a gay hot spot. He put in the pool, Jacuzzi and waterfall and completely revamped the interior. One interesting thing I noticed is that the rock canopy which covers the jacuzzi and which the water falls over is actually an abstract peice of art of a bent over muscle man. If you sit in the jacuzzi and look up you'll see what I'm talking about.
The environment was clean, well taken care of, and very enjoyable. Although it was as cold as it can be in Vegas, I spent most of the day in the jacuzzi, which was comfortable and relaxing. The other guests were friendly and fun to be around so it was the kind of place any gay man looking for a Vegas getaway could enjoy.
I highly recommend it any time of the year!!!
Stayed at Hotel this summer while attending a conference. Hotel was exceptionally clean, they upgraded me to an incredible room. Rooms are top notch and better than many resorts on the strip. It was great to be naked nearly the whole weekend. Pool, video room, hot tub all excellent. All and all a very relaxing and hot time!!! I hope I can come back soon. I highly recommend this place. You won't be dissapointed.
Your staff was extrememly helpful and courteous! Everything was kept very clean. I love the fact that you have a driver available to take you where you need to go!

I believe that this is the best clothing optional resort that I have ever been to! Only thing that would make it "more comfortable" would be if the rooms were free!!

This was my frist stay at the Blue Moon, but it will definately not be my last. The room and facilities were GREAT!!! Along with the wonderful staff made my stay tremendous.
1. Bathroom door was broke.
2. Gym Equipment - Invest in a tredmill.
3. Steam Room - Sometimes on, sometimes off
1. Staff VERY nice
2. Hot Tub - Great, Nice, and Hot
3. Breakfast was very nice
Overall it was a nice room - nicer than expected. Two shortfalls though:
-No alarm clock
-Besides from desk chair there is no place to sit. Either an easy chair of a table/chair setup would have been welcome.
1) Heated Pool
2) Working Gym
Loved the staff, very helpful, and attractive.
-A challenge to find the hotel (by car) but worth it!
-The rooms are nice, too bad the bathroom fan didn't work.
-Still great.
-Continental breakfast generous!
-Enjoyed being free to move about the hotel coomfortably.
-Generous Toiletries
-The only issue would be the number of small things in disrepair

Our stay has been wonderful. And we would like to say a special thank you to Robert the night clerk who was exceptionally friendly and helpful to us as visitors. Also, breakfast was wonderful!
The room istelf is Beautiful!!! A few small issues:
1 There are no wall outlets on the iehter side of the bed.
2 I had to ask one of your very nice staff to come up to my room at 11 pm to help me get hot water for a shower (apparently you must turn on shower only just enough for water to flow). I was trying to get how water for half an hour, unaware of this technique. Maybe a little note in the room explaining this.
3 Your staff also came up late to show me how to turn the light above my bed off. the "switch" was a lighted dial near the floor the you push with your feet. I'd have never guessed! A physical or verbal note to new arrivals would be nice.
5 So far, shuttle guy to the strip has not been available...
6 Possible to get ethernet jacks installed in the rooms? Although I have wireless onmy laptop, I couldn't get it to connect.
Otherwise, beautiful room, nice freindly helpful staff, beautiful hotel, nice ammenities! I'm not a bitch, I swear!!!

Very relaxing, clean, fantastic accomadations.

As always, it was a pleasure staying here. You must be very proud of yourself for the improvements and ammenities you have provided. I remember my 1st stay, right after you opened. The room didn't even have a waste basket... now it has two!!! ;)
2 things that I would suggest:
1 A gay swing
2 Remove some of the trees to provide additional sunning and to provide pool view from more rooms.
1.) You should hire a staff for the reception desk that are friendly and make the guests feel welcome, especially after a long flight.
2.) You advertise that you have a gym "fitness room", but the only machine that you had was broken. You cannot call one broken machine a gym.
3.) Always a shortage of pool towels.
4.) Stale Bagels
5.) Outdoor noises from highway, windows not insulated.
6.) No lube or towels available in your "play room". The condoms should be more visible in a container (glass bowl).
7.) Steam room needs to be updated.
8.) Latch in our room was broken.
We would appreciate a lock box in our room and if you turned the music down around the pool at night.
Nice Room- Clean but toilet keeps running and very warm in room. A/C Blows but not cold.

We enjoyed ourselves in this clean, friendly resort. We won this trip and we appreciate the gift. The staff was very friendly and accommadating. We are vegitarians and to have a veggie burger for the cookout would have been very nice.
A shave chair that folds down off of the wall would have been nice. More sturdy than the one you can remove from the shower. Great Place!!!
Great Resort! We loved the privacy and unobtrusiveness of the staff. The room was beautiful! Only on thing you could have done better... we had asked for an alarm clock with a cd player like other rooms had and never got one and no one followed up.
I really had a very hot stay here! Everyone was so friendly and giving. How about a couple of slot machines or even Keno. Be back soon!

Great overall facility but some things that need to be improved.
Doors need to be rehung so they close properly - especially main door.
Place to hang towels nearer shower.

I stayed at the Blue Moon in Feb. 2008. John, the attractive owner, has done an outstanding job of reinvesting in the property with upgrades to the rooms and the grounds. The other patrons were nice as well. It was great to get away from the hectic strip to be with "good folks". The sexual energy was palpable yet well managed! Wishing John the best along with plenty of success. Planning to stay again if ever in Vegas!
Coming in May for Memorial Day. Can't wait!
After staying at one of the larger hotel complexes I was not overly impressed. It was OK, and I might come back, though I found this hotel to be expensive and isolated.
This is my fourth stay; I am in LV 1-3 a year for medical conferences and this is now my lodging of choice. I think it is far better value than the hotels where my meetings are staged on the strip, plus has the added 'friendliness' of staying with family. Plus, I've seen the ownership put considerable investment into the place over last two years, a habit I have no reason to expect they plan to drop. Staff has been always helpful. If you are a gambler you might take advantage of the less-glitzy but better odds (esp. crap players) at nearby Palace Station Casino, OR their well-known low-stakes poker rooms; they also have two-deck BJ, but stay away from one-deck BJ that only pays 6-5 for "21," which remarkably reduces players advantage.

I normally stay on the strip but had to attend a business conference in LV and afterward decided to stay a few days for fun and chose to try Blue Moon. WOW. I have stayed at other Gay Resorts and most were disappointing but Blue Moon exceeded my expectations. Great friendly staff, clean, updated facility. Do NOT hesitate to stay here. Maybe find a way to add a game room for socializing.....
We have stayed at all the big, fancy hotels in Vegas, and keep coming back to Blue Moon. It's more like your home away from home. The rooms a recently
re-decorated, and are very tasteful. We love the fact that we don't have to walk through a casino to get to our room, seeing all the folks we are there who don't look like they can afford to be there...spending all the money for their kids education and the trailer...sorry, a little snob, just came out.... We love this place, the staff is always so friendly and knowable of everything Vegas. This is a must stay, so relaxing, and the pool and spa for wonderful... 2 Thumbs Up.
